In his dream, he saw a country where everyone was equal, where there was no poverty or crime, and where everyone had the opportunity to succeed. The soldiers are inspired by Washington's dream and promise to fight for it.

The sketch has been praised for its humor, its heartfelt message, and its star-making performance by Bargatze. It has been viewed more than 84 million times on YouTube and has been hailed as one of the best SNL sketches in years.

In an interview with The New York Times, Bargatze said that he was inspired to write the sketch after thinking about the state of the world today. "I wanted to write something that would make people laugh, but also make them think," he said. "I think that's what makes a great SNL sketch."
