Vikings Secure Star Wide Receiver

Justin Jefferson agrees to contract extension

Vikings secure star wide receiver

Jefferson signs for $140 million

The Minnesota Vikings have signed star wide receiver Justin Jefferson to a four-year contract extension worth up to $140 million, including $110 million guaranteed, according to NFL Network Insiders. The deal comes after Jefferson had reportedly been placed on injured reserve with a hamstring injury suffered in Sunday's loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Jefferson, 24, had previously turned down a deal that would have paid him over $28 million annually the day before the 2023 season started. He announced the news himself on social media.

The Vikings have been eager to lock up Jefferson, who has been one of the most productive wide receivers in the NFL since entering the league in 2020. He has more career receiving yards and touchdowns than all of the Chiefs' wideouts combined.

The extension is a major win for the Vikings, who have been looking to build a contender around Jefferson. The team is now hoping that Jefferson can stay healthy and continue to be a key part of their offense for years to come.
