Borussia Dortmund's U23 team kicked off their new season in the 3rd league with a 2-1 victory over FC Ingolstadt last week. Newcomer Rodney Redes proved his worth by scoring the winning goal in the 75th minute.
The U23s started the season with a curious goal, as Wiesbaden's Patrick Hasenhuttl scored an own goal in the 12th minute. However, Ingolstadt equalized just before halftime through Dennis Eckert Ayensa. Redes' goal in the second half sealed the victory for Dortmund.
After the match, U23 coach Mike Tullberg had a surprise for his players. He took them on a tour of Dortmund, showing them some of the city's landmarks and attractions. The players enjoyed the opportunity to explore the city and get to know each other better.
The U23s are now preparing for their next match, which will be against Viktoria Berlin on Saturday, August 12th.
